600 Horsepower Mustang
It’s not often we get a 600 Horsepower car for some maintenance and tires, but the ASE Certified mechanics at Phil’s can handle nearly any upgrade. This 2016 Mustang GT has a Vortech centrifugal supercharger that needed some help putting the power to the ground. After talking with the owner we suggested that he upgrade to BMR vertical links and a cradle bushing lockout kit to ensure that when he stepped on the gas, the rear wheels didn’t hop around and that every single horsepower made it to the pavement. On high performance cars and trucks we always recommend the very best that the industry has to offer and prefer to use vendors that manufacture in the USA.
While we had the car on the lift, we also upgraded the factory tires to Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3s sized at 275/40r19s on all four corners, ensuring that the car would corner as well as it could accelerate. Although these are tires we don’t normally stock in inventory, we had them on hand from our supplier within 2 days for this particular size.
In addition to these upgrades, the owner already installed modest lowering springs, hubcentric wheel spacers and a carbon fiber splitter. While not relevant to our work on this vehicle, it’s important to understand how the entire suspension works together and things we must be aware of when modifying & upgrading stock suspension pieces.
V10 Dodge Viper
This beautiful second generation Dodge Viper was in pristine condition with only 9,000 original miles. At the time, the owner only needed a smog certificate but the V10 sounded incredible!
